Bio/Artist Statement
Lisa Collodoro is a New Jersey based artist born in Gela, Sicily, and immigrated to the United States of America in 1964. Self-taught, she works across oil, acrylic, watercolor and mixed media.
Working intuitively, she channels universal knowledge and messages in order to enlighten and inform her viewers. Her practice explores the unseen; geometry, parallel worlds, the cosmos, timelines, and consciousness.
Her paintings and drawings have been exhibited exclusively in solo and group shows throughout New York and New Jersey and her work can be found in private collections in the United States, Italy and Prague.
She also serves as the Executive Director and curator at the IECC ( Italian Educational and Cultural Center) in Jersey City. where she is actively involved in the Jersey City local arts community.
